Metabones Nikon G Lens to L-mount Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x is an adapter designed to allow Nikon G mount lenses to be used on L-mount cameras with a smaller sensor.

New optical design: advanced 5-element/4-group optical design incorporating ultra-high index tantalum-based optical glass to achieve extraordinary optical performance with improved corner sharpness, distortion, and reduced vignetting.

The Speed Booster ULTRA has a magnification of 0.71x, so it effectively reduces the crop factor of mirrorless cameras with DX-sized sensors and Super35 camcorders, such as Sony E-mount, Fuji X-mount cameras Sony FS7 MARKII, from 1.5x to 1.07x. However, the new ULTRA design makes very effective use of exotic materials at the furthest limit of glassmaking technology, and as a result, is well-corrected for use with virtually all full-frame SLR/Prime lenses regardless of exit pupil distance.

Limitations

• The rear element of the lens cannot protrude from the flange more than 10.5mm.
• This product is designed for the APS-C Crop mode of specific cameras (eg. 4K 60P Crop mode of Panasonic S1H, S5, and S5K, etc).
• Nikkor DX lenses and third-party lenses designed for APS-C format DO NOT WORK AT ALL when used in conjunction with Speed Booster® due to the limitation of image coverage.
